Shadows

I don't have any pictures to go along with this post but Cohen has been doing the cutest and funnest things lately. So the other night he was playing with a flashlight and he was showing me the light on the wall... so i stuck my hand in front of it made a shadow puppet (as i called it)on the wall. Well... Cohen was quite intrigued by this i wish everyone could have seen his little face lite up! He was sure that was something real talking to him (he totally looked right past my hand and only saw that thing on the wall talking to him!) Then he went from being completely fascinated by it to being terrified, so I put my hand down and tried to show him it was only my hand making a shadow from the light. As I'm talking he is looking all around wondering where this creature has gone ( i could help but laugh it was just too cute!) he starts walking around the house looking all over the walls and than all of a sudden (like they had not existed to him before now) he notices shadows from everything... And he is completely freaked out! Poor little guy is standing in the middle of the living room and every direction he looks there they are! He didn't start screaming or anything he was just extremely worried and ran to me like he thought they were coming out to get him!

So that was about a week ago and hes still little leery of the shadows but he understands now that he can make a little "guy" with his hands. Just tonight at Mamoms Cohen picked up the flashlight held it up to the wall and said "hi" with his hand in front of the light and looked at Mamom and said "guy..guy" She has no idea what he was doing and talking about.. I'm glad i was there to explain because i think she would have been trying to figure out what he was doing all night!!

I LOVE this age i wish i could freeze time and keep him the way he is right now forever! But i know i cant, so i wanted to write this down so i could look back and remember how beautiful and innocent a almost two year old is.. I love watching him discover the world!
