2 year check up

Yesterday was Cohen's 2 year old check up...still cant believe hes two! He was such a good boy he hasn't really ever been afraid of the doctor or the clinic but i thought he might be this time since hes little older now.. but he was super happy and friendly with the nurses and enjoyed showing everyone his stickers on the way out :)and the doctor said he was about as cooperative as they get. He was 30 pounds and 36 inches tall... still tall but leaning up some on the growth chart. No shots this time.. yea! He got the flu vac but this year it came in a liquid that the nurse squirted in his nose that smelled like bananas so he didn't mind that a bit! I told his doctor that Cohen's eyes tear allot and are always gookey when he wakes up. He thinks his tear ducks are probably clogged and recommended me to a pediatric Optometrist to have him looked at. If they are blocked he may have to have them "probed".. i know sounds awful!! i guess they would have to put him under general anaesthesia and run a tiny tub into the tear duck to unblock it. Ugh that is not what i wanted to hear! But i guess allot of babies have blocked ducks but it usually resolves its self by their 1st b-day so if they are still blocked at this age it requires this probing to unblock it. If not it can be very irritating and can cause infection later in life, so he said it was best to do it know while hes young. From what i have read its a pretty simple and painless procedure but the patient has to be perfectly still so that's why they have to put them under.. that's the part that makes me nervous. Hopefully we will go see the Optometrist and Cohen wont need to have this done... I will keep you updated. Please keep him in your prayers :)
